In an effort to prepare for its next stage of growth, Numerica Corporation, a global leader in defense technology, is centralizing the leadership of emerging technology research at its Loveland, Colorado headquarters. As part of this strategic reorganization, the company will close its Ohio satellite office and transition all programs to Loveland by this summer.

“Numerica is experiencing incredible growth,” said Numerica president Jeff Poore. “In order for us to continue growing as a healthy company, we sometimes have to make tough choices that drive this kind of change.”

Closure of the Ohio office will help Numerica prepare for the future, optimize resources, advance its growth goals and best align with its current business model.

Given the rich talent pool in Southern California, Numerica maintains a strong commitment to its Pasadena, Calif., office, as it represents the next growth frontier for the company. “Having a physical presence in Pasadena is a great opportunity for us to strengthen relationships with world-class research institutions in Southern California, and it’s a good location for us given our many ties to Caltech,” said Numerica president Jeff Poore. “We want to let professors and graduate students know there is noble and interesting research to be done at Numerica, and we’re always looking for great minds to join our team.”

Since its expansion of operations to Pasadena in October of 2010, Numerica has been making strides as a global leader in defense technology. The intent behind Numerica’s move was to attract the best scientists and engineers with interest in working and living in an area boasting many of the top math, engineering, and computer science programs in the country; Southern California. Establishing an office near the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) was a deliberate move by Numerica.

“I am very appreciative of the hard work and dedication our Dayton team has shown over the last three years as they’ve worked to grow this satellite location,” Poore added. “I’m confident that by centralizing our program leadership in Loveland, we’ll be in the best position for our next stage of growth as a world-class technology provider.”
