The San Gabriel Valley Business Journal is pleased to announce the appointment of De’Andre Valencia as Publisher, effective immediately. For the past few months Steven Ly, owner of the San Gabriel Valley Business Journal, has been looking for a suitable replacement for former publisher and co-founder, Blaine Bacher.

“With the stepping down of the former publisher and co-founder, De’Andre has filled a critical vacancy in the SGVBJ family,” remarked Steven Ly.   “Being able to watch him establish Valencia & Associates, I am excited to see what new and innovative ideas he will bring to our publication.”

Mr. Valencia is a San Gabriel Valley native.  He was raised in Covina only to move to Pomona to attend college, at the University of La Verne.  He is a proud product of the San Gabriel Valley. After graduating from ULV, Mr. Valencia went on to create Valencia & Associates, a political consulting and petition management firm based out of West Covina.  In a short amount of time, Valencia & Associates has become the leading petition management firm in the San Gabriel Valley.  Mr. Valencia has also made a name for himself as a young and rising star in San Gabriel Valley politics.

“I am extremely excited and humbled to become publisher of the San Gabriel Valley Business Journal,” Mr. Valencia replied. “Many new and exciting changes are coming, we need to expand and start our print edition. We have the drive and focus; however, it’s time to make it a reality.”
